One UI 8.5 Beta 4 Faces Delay Due to Critical Internal Bugs

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 Beta program appears to have hit a snag. Nearly a month after the release of Beta 3 for the Galaxy S25 series, Beta 4 is still nowhere in sight. A reputed insider now suggests that recent internal builds developed after the last beta release are dealing with significant stability issues, likely causing the delay.
Tipster reports stability issues in recent One UI 8.5 internal beta builds
According to noted tipster Ice Universe, the latest internal One UI 8.5 Beta build running on the Galaxy S25 Ultra is suffering from random shutdowns and unexpected restarts. This behavior strongly suggests that Samsung is still dealing with critical system-level bugs, which could slow down the march toward a stable release.
The tipster didn’t share the build version, but claims that they are using an internal build that is “close to Beta 4.” Their Galaxy S25 Ultra automatically shut down and restarted twice without any apparent reason. While minor glitches are normal during beta testing, problems of this nature fall into a much more serious category.
It could be power management issues, kernel-level instabilities, or something else. Samsung must be internally investigating the errors and working on a fix. It’s unlikely to roll out a new beta build to the public until it ensures full stability. As such, we may have to wait days or weeks more for One UI 8.5 Beta 4.
Hopefully, Samsung will manage to ship the Galaxy S26 series with a stable version of One UI 8.5. The new flagships are expected to debut on February 25, with sales beginning a couple of weeks later, i.e., on March 11. We will keep a close eye on the ongoing developments and let you know as soon as we have more information.
