Samsung boosts internal One UI 8 testing for the Galaxy S25 series
Apart from the obvious — the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 booting up with One UI 8.0 — the Galaxy S25 series is next in line. Right on cue, KeepUPwithOneUI claims to have spotted an alpha build of One UI 8 for the Galaxy S25 lineup. The build number in question S938BXXU3BYDY is allegedly the One UI 8 alpha for the S25 series. According to the tipster, the build isn’t available on Samsung’s test servers yet and can’t be downloaded.
For what it’s worth, there’s no concrete proof beyond the build number. However, considering the source’s solid track record, it’s a credible lead. What matters more is that Samsung seems to be pushing One UI 8.0 development at full speed. Several One UI 8 apps have also leaked in recent days, hinting at the pace of internal progress.
Earlier today, the Galaxy S25+ was also spotted running an Android 16-based One UI 8 build internally. As per a Geekbench listing (via Alfatürk), the build number was S936NKSU2BYDN. There’s still no official timeline for when Samsung plans to roll out One UI 8.0 to the S25 series, but it likely won’t be long after the new foldables hit the market.
Meanwhile, another member of the S25 family — the Galaxy S25 FE — has finally broken cover after months of speculation. As spotted by GalaxyClub, the device may carry the model number SM-S731B, which aligns with the S24 FE (SM-S721B) and S23 FE (SM-S711B). If more details surface, we’ll be sure to share them.
