Samsung’s One UI 7 update may soon regain momentum after a brief suspension. The company recently confirmed that the underlying issues have been resolved, and the rollout will resume shortly. Now, there’s some semi-official information pointing to the Galaxy S23 series as the next in line to receive the update, potentially as early as next week.
The Galaxy S23 series could get the One UI 7 update next week
According to the Canadian wireless carrier Telus, the Galaxy S23 series will receive the One UI 7 update starting next Tuesday, April 22. Given Samsung’s usual release patterns, it’s likely that users in South Korea and potentially a few other regions will get the early next week.
Samsung has already rolled out One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and Fold SE in Korea, the US, Canada, and Europe. However, it has now halted the rollout due to bugs. Users in other regions are still waiting for the big Android 15 update. Samsung may resume the rollout later today or in the coming days.
The plan might be to expand the One UI 7 update for the first batch of devices globally before rolling it out to other models. If the timeline shared by Telus is accurate, the Galaxy S23 series could receive the update early next week, followed by 2023 foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. Other eligible models could join the party later in the month or in early May.
Beyond flagship models, Samsung still has a long list of Galaxy A, M, and F series budget and midrange phones slated to receive One UI 7.
