A few days ago, Samsung released One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy A55 in South Korea. The beta update is now available in India, and possibly the UK soon — the beta program isn’t expected to roll out in other markets. The midrange handset should receive the stable One UI 7 build globally in May. Meanwhile, you can check out the full beta changelog here.

The Galaxy A55 is the 11th and final Samsung smartphone to get One UI 7 beta, following the Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Fold 6, Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S10+, and Tab S10 Ultra. The company has already released the stable build to the Galaxy S24 trio, Fold 6, and Flip 6. The Galaxy S23 and Tab S10 lineups are also set to receive the stable update later this month.

Meanwhile, Samsung is still rolling out the first beta build to the Galaxy A55. In India, the update comes with the build version ZYD1 and packs the April security patch. The 2.7GB beta OTA file introduces several new features and UI changes, including AI-powered transcriptions of call recordings and AI writing assistance for formatting and summarizing text, as well as fixing grammatical and spelling errors.

As you can see in the changelog below, One UI 7 also brings the updated camera layout to the Galaxy A55, alongside improvements for Pro Video and Pro Photo modes. You also get new edition tools, enhanced productivity features, and more goodies. It’s a considerably large update aimed at enhancing your everyday smartphone experience.

Samsung isn’t expected to roll out One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy A55 beyond Korea, India, and the UK. The stable update, meanwhile, should arrive globally sometime in May. You can always check for new updates on your Galaxy smartphone from Settings > Software update > Download and install. Those not getting access to the beta software can expect a new security patch (April) soon.
