One UI 7 Available for Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) with May Patch

Samsung has begun rolling out the Android 15-based One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024). This major software upgrade brings a refreshed interface and a host of new features, significantly enhancing the user experience on this mid-range tablet. The update kicked off in South Korea a few hours ago and should expand globally in the coming days.
What’s new in One UI 7 for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite?
The One UI 7 update introduces a redesigned user interface with smoother visuals and better usability. Some of the key changes include a vertical scrolling app drawer, new icon designs, larger home screen folders, improved widget customization, updated native apps with new UI designs, revamped quick settings panel, additional lock screen and home screen customizations, and more.
For Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) users, this update also installs the May 2025 security patch, boosting system stability and security. The latest security release from Samsung addresses nearly 80 vulnerabilities. Users in Korea can identify the new firmware with build version P620XXU5BYE5. The update package weighs around 3GB (thanks, @Alfaturk16!).
While the update is currently live in Korea, it shouldn’t take much longer for Samsung to roll it out in other markets. You should get a notification once the OTA (over the air) release hits your Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. You can also manually check for updates from Settings > Software Update > Download and install.
A word of caution from Samsung
Samsung has warned Galaxy Tab users about a compatibility issue with One UI 7. You may experience home screen crashes and glitches if you have set vertical home screen grid layouts (like 5×7) combined with large widgets (e.g., 3×7). To avoid issues, consider adjusting your home screen layout before installing the update. The best idea would be to reset the home screen to the default layout.
