The Galaxy S25 Ultra is one of the most highly anticipated Android phones launching over the next few months. The upcoming Samsung flagship looks completely different from its predecessor with a thinner, narrower, and curvier design. While a more compact build leaves limited room for larger batteries, it may not be a problem. Optimizations in One UI 7 and the efficiency of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor could improve its battery life.

Galaxy S25 Ultra may deliver longer battery life with One UI 7 and Snapdragon 8 elite

Samsung appears ready to roll out a beta version of its Galaxy AI-powered One UI 7 update later this month. The first beta update may drop as early as next week. This update is expected to deliver a major UI redesign and a host of new features and enhancements to Galaxy devices. Rumors indicate Galaxy users are also in for battery life improvements thanks to enhanced background optimization and process management.

The Galaxy S25 series could benefit the most from this. The new flagships are expected to run the Snapdragon 8 Elite globally. The 3nm Qualcomm processor is in a league of its own with its superfast CPU cores clocked up to 4.32GHz (Samsung may use an overclocked version with a peak speed of 4.47GHz), AI upgrades, and camera enhancements. It should also bring major power efficiency gains, helping improve the battery life.

Coupled with Samsung’s power management improvements in One UI 7, the Galaxy S25 Ultra should offer longer battery life. Of course, existing Galaxy phones will also benefit from One UI 7’s background optimizations. The new update will be available to millions of budget, mid-range, and flagship smartphones and tablets globally. The beta testing may begin for the Galaxy S24 series next week. We will update you as soon as Samsung confirms the rollout, so stay tuned.
