Apple is widely expected to enter the foldable market this year, posing the most serious challenge yet to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold lineup. Its first foldable iPhone may arrive in late 2026, just months after Samsung unveils the Galaxy Z Fold 8. Meanwhile, competition is heating up from another direction, as OPPO is reportedly preparing to launch the Find N6 as early as March.

OPPO’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 rival could land next month

According to recent reports, the OPPO Find N6 is on track for a March 2026 debut. The company has reportedly shown the device internally, touting a near crease-free experience. If accurate, that would put it right in the bullseye of Samsung’s biggest foldable pain point. Apple is also aiming to eliminate the crease with its first foldable.

On the spec front, the Find N6 is rumored to be anything but modest. We may get a 200MP main camera, 50MP telephoto, and 50MP ultrawide, paired with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. A large 6,000mAh battery, 80W wired charging, and stylus support are also said to be on the table. That’s an aggressive mix targeting power users and productivity fans alike.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 may not match the OPPO foldable specs-by-specs. However, it should bring several meaningful upgrades of its own, including a creaseless main display. The S Pen (stylus) may remain missing after the company removed it from the Fold 7 last year. But we expect improvements in camera, battery, and durability.

Samsung may also introduce a wider foldable this year, seemingly aimed at countering Apple’s rumored wide form factor. If that happens, it would be taking a notably aggressive stance, lining up multiple foldable designs to take on every major rival at once. With competition intensifying on all fronts, the foldable market is heating up fast. The next wave of launches could be some of the most exciting yet.
