New Update Boosts Stability for Galaxy Tab S9 and Tab S10 Series

Shortly after updating them to One UI 8, Samsung is pushing fresh software updates to the Galaxy Tab S10 and Galaxy Tab S9 series. The latest release focuses on improving system security, stability, and overall performance. The update should be available globally soon.
Galaxy Tab S9 and Tab S10 series receive new updates after One UI 8
The latest update for the Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra brings the October 2025 security patch. However, the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra remain on the September patch, which they picked up with One UI 8 last month. It’s unclear if Samsung plans another security release for the newer models shortly.
As of this writing, these updates are live in South Korea. Galaxy Tab S10 users are getting the firmware build version CYJ4, while it’s DYJ2 for the Tab S9 lineup. The OTA packages weigh about 330MB. A global rollout should follow in the coming days. Users can check for the update manually by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
While this update may not contain any major user-facing changes, these tablets are coming fresh from major refinements Samsung introduced with One UI 8. The Quick Settings and Notification Panel have been redesigned with improved layout and dynamic blur effects, offering a cleaner and more polished user experience on larger screens. The devices also gained new Galaxy AI-powered features, including Now Brief and Audio Eraser.
Meanwhile, Samsung is already working on another significant update with an interface overhaul and additional features. The One UI 8.5 update is expected to roll out in the first half of 2026, bringing more visual polish and functional upgrades to Galaxy tablets. Samsung will introduce One UI 8.5 with the Galaxy S26 series next year before a wider rollout.
