Samsung has a bunch of exciting new phones in the pipeline, including the super-slim Galaxy S25 Edge. Expected to go official in April, leaks have already revealed plenty about the device. Now, we have confirmation about its battery capacity thanks to a new regulatory certification.

Galaxy S25 Edge battery size revealed through a regulatory certification

The Tech Outlook recently spotted a couple of battery packs for an unreleased Samsung smartphone on the UL Demko database. The model numbers mentioned in the certification listing (EB-BS937ABY and EB-BS937ABE) confirm these are meant for the Galaxy S25 Edge — the phone carriers the model number SM-S937. The batteries have a certified rated capacity of 3786mAh, which should mean a typical capacity of 3900mAh.

An earlier certification revealed the same numbers, so this pretty much confirms the official battery capacity of the Galaxy S25 Edge. While the device has a large, 6.7-inch display, its slim profile prevented Samsung from including a bigger battery. The upcoming S25 model is expected to be only 5.84mm thick. Hopefully, the company has optimized the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and software for a decent battery life.

The same battery models also appeared on India’s BIS database, hinting at a global availability for the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, recent rumors suggest the new slim flagship will have a limited initial launch. Samsung might first introduce it in Korea and plan a wider release depending on the market reception. The company has been working on a US version too, but it’s unclear whether the phone will see the light of day.

As mentioned above, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to debut in April, possibly on April 16. It may be the initial Korean launch though, with a global launch following later. More detailed leaks should surface on the build-up to its launch next month, so stay tuned.
