You’ll Now Find Nano Banana Inside Google Lens and AI Mode Too!

Google’s Nano Banana is such a cool feature… imagine if it were available beyond just Gemini! Well, that’s exactly what’s happening. Google is rolling out its Nano Banana tool to more of its apps. Powered by the Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model, Nano Banana lets users create or edit images using simple text prompts. The feature first debuted in the Gemini app, but Google is now testing Nano Banana in Search, Lens, and even Photos.

Nano Banana expands beyond the Gemini app, coming to Google Lens and search

With the latest update, you’ll start seeing Nano Banana pop up inside Google Lens. You can now snap a photo and use a simple text prompt to edit or transform it right in the Lens app. The option appears at the bottom of the interface under the Nano Banana button. Google’s also working on adding it to Circle to Search, though that feature is still in early testing.

In Search, you’ll notice Nano Banana teaming up with AI Mode to make visual results even more useful. You can upload a photo, ask AI Mode to find similar items, or tweak the image before searching again. That could be a handy way to shop, identify objects, or explore new ideas visually.

You’ll also see Nano Banana making its way to NotebookLM, where you can generate different visual styles, like watercolor, retro, or anime, for your video summaries. Down the line, the feature is expected to arrive in Google Photos, letting you merge pictures, create collages, and blend elements from multiple images.

For now, these new features are rolling out only in the US and India. Google hasn’t said when Nano Banana will reach other regions yet, but based on recent tests and teasers, a wider release could be just around the corner.
