After canceling the Galaxy S26 Edge, Samsung was recently found to be working on a new slim smartphone, codenamed “More Slim.” It’s unclear whether this device will join the S26 lineup or launch as a standalone model, but a new leak sheds light on what the company has planned. The project reportedly aims to achieve record-breaking thinness without sacrificing flagship-level performance, something the now-canceled Edge lineup never fully delivered.

Samsung’s next slim smartphone may be thinner than ever, without compromise

The latest leak claims that Samsung is targeting a thickness of under 5.56mm, which would make “More Slim” thinner than the iPhone Air. Despite its slender frame, the company reportedly aims to include a 4,300mAh or larger stacked Li-polymer battery, leveraging cutting-edge cell chemistry to balance endurance with design.

The device may feature a 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPO display with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate. This aligns with Samsung’s premium display standards, ensuring smooth performance and power efficiency even on a super-slim body. Under the hood, the phone could pack Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2600 chip. The 2nm processor may also power some Galaxy S26 models.

Camera targets include a dual 50MP setup (wide + ultrawide), with an optional periscope telephoto lens currently under feasibility study. The Galaxy S25 Edge lacked a zoom camera, a key omission that made its $1,100 price tag hard to justify. With this new project, Samsung is pushing to see just how much advanced imaging hardware it can pack into an ultra-thin chassis without compromising performance or design.

To maintain durability, Samsung is reportedly using an aluminum composite frame reinforced with a titanium substructure. This will help strike a balance between lightness and rigidity, a crucial consideration for such a slim form factor. If the leak holds true, “More Slim” could become one of the most visually striking Galaxy devices yet. But until we have confirmation, take this leak with caution.
