The first batch of Google Play system updates for March 2025 rolled out

Every month, Google rolls out various changes and upgrades to core Android components such as Google Play Store and Google Play Services. These upgrades, along with enhancements across core system apps, are collectively called Google Play system updates. The company starts rolling out these changes early in the month and continues the process throughout the month.

The first batch of March Play system updates is available with Google Play services v25.08 and Google Play Store v45.2. The updates include login reliability improvements for teens and children, a wider availability of Google Wallet on smartphones and watches, and new topic pages in the Play Store that make it easier to explore game genres and discover new favorites.

Additionally, a redesigned install bar in the Play Store allows users to install and open apps more easily, even when scrolling through an app’s details page. Google says these improvements are rolling out to Android users worldwide starting this Monday, March 3. It will soon release the second batch of updates with more changes and enhancements.

Samsung Galaxy users can check for Google Play system updates by navigating to Settings > About phone > Software information > Google Play system update. Since the rollout has just begun, it could take a while before the updates start showing up. You should regularly check for these updates to receive the latest Android system improvements on time.
