Even though Samsung has started rolling out One UI 7.0, beginning with the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and the Z Fold Special Edition, the update is only available in South Korea for now. It will expand to the USA, UK, India, and other regions in the coming days. But interestingly, someone is already running One UI 7.0 on their Galaxy Tab S9 FE, which isn’t expected to receive the update until June. That brings up a curious question, how are they able to do that?
Galaxy Tab S9 FE running One UI 7.0 before official rollout? Yep.
Well, it looks like they’re running a leaked One UI 7.0 build for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE. A shared screenshot confirms it’s about 3.6GB in size and carries the build number X516BXXU7CYD1. It also includes the April 2025 security patch. The Now Bar looks as sleek as ever, but that thick battery icon still refuses to budge. They’ve also attached a video to show everything in action, which you can see it for yourself.

Lately, we’ve been seeing a wave of leaked test builds for a bunch of devices, ahead of official release. But there’s a catch. Since these aren’t official builds and Samsung hasn’t rolled out the update yet, there’s always a risk your device could end up bricked. You can try it at your own risk, of course, but pulling a move like this isn’t exactly beginner-friendly.
That said, the One UI 7.0 rollout is in full swing. The Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold SE have received the update in South Korea so far. It’s expected that the stable version will land in the USA tomorrow, April 10. The Galaxy A55 has also received the One UI 7.0 beta in India, and Samsung is already ramping up development of One UI 8.0 for the Galaxy S25 series.
