January 2026 Security Update Expands to More Galaxy A, M, and F Devices

We are very close to the end of the month, and Samsung is continuing to roll out the January 2026 security patch to as many eligible Galaxy devices as possible. Recently, around 23 models across the Galaxy A, M, F, and tablet lineup received the update in latest round. Some popular models that recently received the update include the Galaxy A15 5G, Galaxy A16 5G, Galaxy A33, Galaxy A35, Galaxy M35, Galaxy M54, Galaxy F15, and the Galaxy Tab S10 series. Most of these releases have taken place in South Korea.

January 2026 security update expands across Galaxy A, M, F phones and tablets

Samsung has released the January 2026 security patch for multiple devices in its home country, South Korea. The Galaxy A15 4G and Galaxy A15 5G have started receiving the update in Korea. They carry the build versions A155NKSS8CZA2 and A156LKSS8CZAB, respectively. Their successors, the Galaxy A16 4G and Galaxy A16 5G, have also received the update in Korea with build versions A165NKSS5CZA1 and A166LKSS5BZAA.

The Galaxy A17 5G usually receives monthly security patches in the first week, but this time it missed its streak. The device is now getting the January 2026 update in Vietnam with the build version A176BXXS4BZA5.

The Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A35 have also picked up the January 2026 patch. Both devices received the update in South Korea. The Galaxy A33 carries the build version A336NKSSDGZA1, while the Galaxy A35 comes with A356NKSS7CZA1.

In terms of M series, the Galaxy M35 and Galaxy M54 are now receiving the January 2026 security patch. The Galaxy M35 update is rolling out in Vietnam and Sri Lanka with build version M356BXXS6CZA4. Meanwhile, the Galaxy M54 has got the update in Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, and a few other regions with the build version M546BXXSAEZA5.

On the F series side, the Galaxy F15 and Galaxy F05 are also getting the latest patch. The Galaxy F15 received the update in India with the build version E156BXXS8CZA3. The Galaxy F05 is getting the January 2026 security patch in India and Sri Lanka with build version E055FXXS6CZA1.

Samsung has also started rolling out the update for the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. The Wi-Fi variants received the patch in South Korea with build version X*20XXS6CZA3. However, the Galaxy Tab S11 has not received the update yet, even though it is Samsung’s latest flagship tablet.

The January 2026 security patch does not bring major new features and focuses on improving system security and device stability. It includes 55 security fixes provided by Samsung, Google, and other companies.

Below is the list of other Galaxy devices that have recently picked up the January 2026 security patch but were not mentioned above. The list includes their build versions and a few rollout regions.
