The Galaxy S26 series is officially here, and it runs One UI 8.5. Samsung hasn’t started rolling out the update to other phones yet, and it’s only available in beta for the Galaxy S25 trio. The company has now begun rolling out One UI 8.5 beta 6 for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Another One UI 8.5 beta build spotted for Galaxy S25 on test servers

A new One UI 8.5 beta build has now been spotted on the test servers for the Galaxy S25 trio. What makes it more interesting is that the build has appeared across all beta regions, according to Tarun Vats. So does this mean Samsung is preparing another beta round (possibly One UI 8.5 beta 7) for the Galaxy S25 lineup?

That seems possible. The Galaxy S26 series is currently up for preorder and won’t hit retail shelves until March 11. That’s less than two weeks away (depending on when you’re reading this), which gives Samsung just enough time to push out another beta update for the Galaxy S25 trio if it plans to do so.

If history is any indication, Samsung usually takes its time before rolling out major updates to older devices. In other words, the Galaxy S25 series likely won’t receive the stable One UI 8.5 update the moment the newer models go on sale.

So the speculation around a possible One UI 8.5 beta 7 does make sense. That said, nothing is confirmed. Samsung could always change its plans. And well, it may surprise everyone with a stable One UI 8.5 rollout for the Galaxy S25 series. For now, though, that seems unlikely.
