It’s no secret that Samsung is gearing up to introduce several entry-level 5G phones. However, their branding is more confusing than usual, as an upcoming device has come to light with the Galaxy F70e 5G moniker. The name doesn’t seem to fit the company’s usual naming scheme.

Samsung is preparing Galaxy A07 5G rebrands

A few days ago, Samsung announced the Galaxy A07 5G in Thailand. However, fresh evidence suggests that the company is also preparing its rebranded models, likely for different markets and sales channels. As spotted by TheTech Outlook, a new device has popped up on the Google Play Console with the Galaxy F70e 5G moniker.

The listing mentions the internal device code “a07x”, suggesting that the phone is indeed a rebranded Galaxy A07 5G. Moreover, there is a reference to the model name SM-A076M, which further confirms that possibility. Interestingly, the Galaxy F70e 5G naming does not follow Samsung’s usual branding strategy. The company normally rebrands its Galaxy A0x phones as Galaxy F0x and Galaxy M0x models. As such, a more logical name should be Galaxy F07e 5G. Its model number SM-E076B also fits the latter branding.

So, could the Galaxy F70e 5G name be a typo or placeholder in the Google Play Console listing? While this might be the case, a few days ago, another confusing naming came to light for the upcoming M-series device. The Google Play Console device list added the model number SM-M076B with the Galaxy M17e 5G moniker. This device also shares the same A07x internal codename, pointing to another rebranded Galaxy A07 5G.

Based on the past naming scheme, the model M076B should launch as the Galaxy M07 5G, but Play Console lists suggest otherwise. It seems Samsung is tweaking its naming scheme for entry-level Galaxy M-series and F-series 5G devices this year. We’ll find out soon. Meanwhile, the Play Console listing reveals that the Galaxy F70e 5G may feature a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 (MT6835V/TZ) chipset with 4GB of RAM. Other features include Android 16 and a 720 × 1600 display with 300 DPI. Stay tuned for more.
