After what may have been a long wait for some of us, Samsung has finally rolled out the One UI 8.5 beta program. Owners of the Galaxy S25 trio, including the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, can now join and install the One UI 8.5 beta. Notably, the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25 FE are not a part of One UI 8.5 beta program (yet!). In addition, you must be in one of the eligible regions to try out the latest beta firmware.

The eligible regions for the One UI 8.5 beta include Korea, the US, Germany, India, Poland, and the UK. In the US, Galaxy S25 users must also ensure that they either have an unlocked device or a T-Mobile model. After meeting these criteria, you can follow the steps below to install the One UI 8.5 beta.

Here’s how you can sign up and install One UI 8.5 beta on your Galaxy S25 phone

Before you download and install the One UI 8.5 beta, you need to make sure that you are part of the One UI 8.5 beta program. This usually means consenting to use beta software, which may include bugs and glitches, especially if you install it on your primary device. That said, power users usually do not mind.

1. Open the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy S25 phone.
2. Check the main banner for the One UI 8.5 beta, or go to Notices.
3. Tap the One UI 8.5 beta banner.
4. Read the details and follow the on-screen steps to join One UI 8.5 beta program.

Once this is done, the One UI 8.5 beta should be available immediately after successful registration. Next, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to try out the latest beta firmware. Keep in mind that slots usually fill up quickly, so make sure to act fast.
