Green Line on Your Galaxy S23? Samsung India Will Replace the Screen for Free

Samsung’s free screen replacement program for devices suffering from the notorious green line display issue in India has just expanded. Previously available for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S22 series, the policy now also covers the Galaxy S23 lineup. However, it’s unclear if the company has also extended the program’s deadline beyond September 2025.

Galaxy S23 users in India can get a free screen replacement for the green line issue

OLED screens can sometimes develop vertical lines due to damage or failure in the display’s internal circuitry or pixel-driving components. These lines, often called green lines or pink lines depending on their color, can be caused by physical stress (like drops or bending), exposure to extreme temperatures, or even software updates that inadvertently alter how the display drivers communicate with the panel.

Screen replacement is often the only permanent solution to this problem. In the case the lines are caused by software updates without any fault of the user, Samsung India offers a free screen replacement for select devices. Labor charges, however, still apply.

Originally announced for the Galaxy S21 and S22 series, the company also now covers the S23 lineup under this program. Of course, Samsung’s repair experts will check for any physical damage or water damage before accepting your device for a free screen replacement. As things stand, the program is valid until September 30, 2025. However, the Korean firm may extend it if the need be.

Visit an authorized Samsung service center to check your eligibility and fix the problem before the deadline. As mentioned above, you won’t get a free screen replacement if your device suffered a drop or water damage.
