Google continues to make Chrome more helpful and intuitive. The company has announced three new features for the browser that let you work faster and stay more organized. The features are gradually rolling out to all eligible desktop users worldwide.

Google brings three new Chrome features to make work easier

The newly announced Chrome features are split view, PDF annotations, and Save to Google Drive. “These tools, developed for both everyday and enterprise users, are built to help you focus, collaborate and get things done more quickly,” said Google. Now let’s take a look at each feature in detail.

Speaking of split view, as its name suggests, it lets you view two tabs side by side in the same Chrome window. This means you get a better multitasking experience, as you don’t need to juggle multiple windows. For example, students can take notes while watching a YouTube video. Likewise, developers can check documentation while coding. Basically, you can create a single, organized workspace for two different purposes at the same time.

Now, coming to PDF annotations, this feature lets you highlight text and add notes in a PDF right from your browser. Previously, users had to download a PDF and open it in a separate app just to make edits. Now you can do the job quickly in your browser with the Chrome PDF Viewer. This comes in handy for a bunch of tasks, such as putting digital signatures or making notes on a class syllabus.

Thanks for introducing the Save to Google Drive feature, which makes managing your files seamless. Instead of downloading documents to your computer, you can now save PDFs directly to your Drive. This keeps your files backed up, so you can easily find them later from any of your devices. The best thing is that the documents automatically appear in the “Saved from Chrome” folder in your Drive.
