Good Lock and MultiStar Updated with New Tricks for Galaxy Z Flip and Fold

Coinciding with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 launch, Samsung has rolled out new foldable-focused updates for Good Lock and MultiStar, a Good Lock module. While Good Lock gets a small but impactful personalization feature across both dual-screen devices, MultiStar’s latest update enhances the camera experience on Flip models. You can also expect stability enhancements designed to improve the overall user experience.

New Good Lock and MultiStar updates add more flair to your Galaxy foldable

Version 3.0.13.1 of Good Lock adds the ability to set a custom image as your cover screen wallpaper — something that has been a top request among Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold users. While Samsung’s foldables already support cover screen customization to an extent, this new option gives users greater control over their device’s appearance while it’s closed.

MultiStar, meanwhile, is getting an update to version 10.0.23 with One UI 8 support. It introduces a new feature called FlipShot on the Z Flip lineup. When you’re using the rear cameras on your Galaxy Z Flip to snap a mirror selfie — with the cover screen facing the mirror — FlipShot kicks things up a notch. It lets you display a stylish photo or personalized message on that tiny front display while you’re taking the shot.

Whether it’s your name in a funky font, a motivational quote, or a snapshot of your favorite pet, FlipShot turns your foldable into a selfie billboard. It adds a splash of personality to every photo session and lets you express yourself in more ways than before. This is especially cool for those moments when you’re handing your Flip to a friend to take a pic — the message on the cover screen becomes part of the vibe.
