Galaxy Z TriFold Official with 10-Inch Display, 5,600mAh Battery, One UI 8

The wait is finally over. Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Z TriFold, its boldest leap in foldable design yet. For the first time, a true tablet-sized screen fits in your pocket, something the traditional Fold lineup could only inch toward. This new tri-fold form factor unlocks desktop-level multitasking, richer entertainment, and serious creation tools, all while still folding into a device no larger than a regular smartphone.
Galaxy Z TriFold launches with impressive specs
Samsung’s first tri-fold has a massive 10-inch folding panel with two inward-folding hinges. One folding part goes over the other in a specific order, protecting the screen when the device is folded. Samsung says it’s using its most advanced hinge system ever, while the display includes a reinforced shock-absorbing layer and a harder overcoat to improve longevity. The device offers haptic cues and on-screen guidance to make sure users fold and unfold it correctly.
The 10-inch inner display features a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel at QXGA+ resolution, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 1,600 nits peak brightness. On the outside, the cover screen is a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a much brighter 2,600-nit peak, making it ideal for quick tasks, messaging, or navigation without having to open the full screen.
One of the TriFold’s marquee capabilities is three-app multitasking, allowing users to run and resize three windows simultaneously. The layout is equivalent to having three standard smartphone screens running side by side. It also supports standalone Samsung DeX, letting users activate a full desktop-like environment directly on the main display without needing an external monitor.
The Galaxy Z TriFold ships with Android 16 and One UI 8, optimized for the multi-panel display, advanced gesture controls, and expanded window management. It packs the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, paired with 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage. You also get 200MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. Both the inner and outer displays include 10MP selfie cameras, so users can shoot from whichever configuration they prefer.
At its slimmest point, the Galaxy Z TriFold measures an astonishing 3.9 mm, showcasing Samsung’s latest in material engineering. The device is rated IP48 for dust and water protection, another first for a tri-folding phone. Powering all of this is the largest battery ever put in a Samsung foldable. It’s a 5,600mAh three-cell setup, with a cell embedded into each segment of the device. It supports 45W fast charging.
