There’s too much One UI 8 update noise right now, with many Galaxy devices still in line to receive the latest version. The rollout seems almost complete, with only a few exceptions. Consequently, Samsung is blessing newer devices running One UI 8 with the October 2025 security update. And, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 are the latest to get it.
Samsung is now rolling out October 2025 security update to Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6
As it turns out, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 are now receiving the October 2025 security update. The relevant build versions for the devices are F956BXXS2CYJ1 and F741BXXS2CYJ1, respectively (via SamMobile). These builds apply to the global variants.
Moreover, Verizon’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 are also receiving the October 2025 security update in the US. The relevant build versions for these models are F956USQS2CYJ1 and F741USQS2CYJ1, respectively. Verizon’s page doesn’t provide any additional details.

The October 2025 security patch includes fixes for a total of 34 issues, 14 of which are high-severity Android OS vulnerabilities, while the remainder are Samsung-specific. For instance, the update addresses a Samsung DeX issue that could allow attackers to access the recent app list. Other fixes cover several core components, including the fingerprint trustlet, Contacts, KnoxGuard, and Knox Enterprise.
You can check for and install the latest security patch by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap Install now. The process may take some time. The next major update for these foldables will be One UI 8.5, which is expected to roll out alongside the Galaxy S26 series.
