Samsung’s upcoming launches include the next iteration of the Galaxy Watch, likely the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Samsung will also unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip FE, which should hit the market in July or August — right in line with previous foldable releases. In fact, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and Flip FE popped up on the GSMA database late last December. Since Samsung typically launches devices about six months after they appear in the GSMA IMEI database, we can expect these to hit the shelves around the same timeframe.
Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, Galaxy foldables production may begin in May
A tipster PandaFlashPro claims that Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and upcoming foldables production will kick off in May. Specifically, they state that Galaxy Watch 8 Classic production will begin in mid-May. Meanwhile, the foldables will enter production in the first week of May —citing a “source” they don’t elaborate on. The mention of Samsung’s foldable also raises a few questions, as the tipster doesn’t specify which models are included. That said, we’re pretty confident it will at least cover the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip FE.
The Fan Edition foldable — Flip FE — could borrow the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s display. This means we might see a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with FHD+ resolution. That’s according to Ross Young, a display industry veteran with a solid track record. There are also whispers that it could be powered by the Exynos 2400 processor, the same chip found in the Galaxy S24 series in select markets.
As for the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, details are still scarce. However, it’s unlikely to see major changes in screen size or design. That said, strong rumors suggest it could feature a blood glucose monitoring sensor, along with improvements in battery life and a bunch of AI-powered features.
