Samsung’s One UI 8 rollout is now in full swing, with the update reaching multiple new devices every day. Today, the company began pushing the Android 16-based software to the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup. Additionally, two of its recent budget models — the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A16 — are also getting One UI 8.5.

One UI 8 is now available for the Galaxy Tab S9, A15, and A16

As expected, the rollout kicked off in South Korea, where the Galaxy A15 is known as the Galaxy Buddy 3 and the A16 as Buddy 4. Galaxy Tab S9 users in other markets should start seeing the update within days, while Galaxy A15 and A16 owners may need to wait a couple of weeks before it arrives globally. That staggered timing is typical for Samsung’s lower-cost devices, which often see slower expansion compared to flagship models.

One UI 8 brings a smoother and more unified experience across its Galaxy ecosystem. It introduces a cleaner visual design, smarter customization tools, and enhanced Galaxy AI features. Whether it’s improved multitasking on large-screen devices, more flexible lock screen and notification controls, or better privacy management, the update focuses on making daily use more intuitive.

Beyond cosmetics and convenience, One UI 8 also strengthens device performance and longevity. Optimized background activity management, refined animations, and improved battery efficiency ensure that even budget Galaxy models feel faster and more responsive. With its broad rollout strategy, Samsung is making sure both entry-level and flagship devices benefit equally, closing the gap in user experience across its lineup.

If you own a Galaxy A15, A16, or Tab S9, keep an eye out for the One UI 8 update. You can check manually by opening Settings > Software update > Download and install. Otherwise, you’ll receive a notification when the update is available in your region. More Galaxy devices will receive One UI 8 in the coming days.
