Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, Galaxy XCover 7 Pick Up December 2025 Security Update

Another month, and a wave of updates are on the way for eligible devices. In that vein, Samsung has started rolling out the latest December 2025 security update for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and Galaxy XCover 7. It is currently available only in select regions, mostly in Southeast Asia. However, now that the rollout has begun, it should become available in more regions shortly.

SammyGuru contributor Mohammed Khatri spotted these updates. Accordingly, Samsung has started rolling out the latest security patch to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and Galaxy XCover 7. The latest patch for the former is live in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Australia, while the latter is receiving the update in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Both updates are based on One UI 8, as these devices have already received the major update. The build versions in question are P625XXS7CYK1 and G556BXXSCDYK5 for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and Galaxy XCover 7, respectively, in those regions.

If you happen to be in the listed regions and own either of these devices, you can install the latest security patch. To do so, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Be sure to keep checking, as updates sometimes roll out in stages. If it has not arrived yet, it likely will not take long. Delays can happen before the update reaches every device.
The December 2025 security update brings fixes for more than 57 security vulnerabilities from Samsung, Google, and other partners.
