Galaxy Tab S11 Charging Speed Revealed Ahead of Launch

Samsung is gearing up to launch its next-gen flagship Android tablets, the Galaxy Tab S11 series. We already know a few details about the upcoming lineup, which includes the base Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra. Now, the charging speed of the base model has been confirmed — and unsurprisingly, it’s 45W.
Samsung may retain the same 45W charger for the upcoming Galaxy Tab S11
There is no doubt that the Galaxy Tab S11 will deliver a premium tablet experience to users. This year, Samsung is expected to offer a more refined design while maintaining flagship specs, upgrading the hardware in some areas. Now, we know its charging speed as well, thanks to the UL Demko certification.
According to the listing, Galaxy Tab S11 supports charging at 15.0V/3.0A or 10.0V/4.5A — both of which translate to 45W fast charging. However, this comes as no surprise, since Samsung has consistently offered 45W charging support in its flagship tablets. The Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S9, and Tab S10+ (there was no base model last year) all came with the same charging capability.
While relatively slow in 2024, the 45W charging speed should still provide fairly quick top-ups. Under the hood, Samsung may equip the Galaxy Tab S11 with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, which will not only deliver powerful performance but also contribute to better power efficiency.
In terms of design, a recently leaked official render reveals that Samsung has made some noticeable changes to the Ultra. It now features a smaller U-shaped notch for the front-facing camera and slimmer bezels for a more immersive viewing experience. Expect similar refinements on the base model. Rumor has it that the Tab S11 series may go official sometime in September, around the same timeframe as last year’s flagship lineup. We expect to learn more details in the coming weeks.
