We’re now in August, but some devices still haven’t received the August 2025 security patch. One of them is the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, which has just started getting the July 2025 security update. For now, it’s only rolling out to Verizon’s carrier-locked units.

Verizon Galaxy Tab S10 FE finally receiving July 2025 security update

Folks over at SammyFans spotted the July 2025 security update rolling out to Verizon’s carrier-locked Galaxy Tab S10 FE units. According to Verizon’s official support website, the update began on July 31. The build version in question is X528USQS5AYGA. It weighs around 300MB, which is typical for monthly security patches.

It’s safe to assume that other variants, including unlocked and international models, may start receiving the July 2025 security patch soon. Since Verizon began the rollout over a week ago, broader availability likely isn’t far off.

The July 2025 patch includes over 40 security fixes from Samsung, Google, and their partners. It addresses vulnerabilities affecting Android, Exynos chips, and Galaxy-exclusive features. Issues related to KnoxVault, Galaxy Watches, and tablets are also resolved. So far, the update has already reached several Galaxy devices.

Interestingly, Samsung rolled out the July patch to the Galaxy S20 series today, even though its official support window has ended. The S20 lineup, released in 2020, was no longer expected to receive regular updates.

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+, which debuted in April 2025, are eligible for seven years of updates. This puts them in line with Samsung’s flagship models and means they will receive software support through 2031 or 2032. That is a long timeline for a tablet that launched at $499.99, though it is currently available for $449.99. Both models come in three colors: Blue, Gray, and Silver.
