Samsung’s February 2026 security update is now available for a bug of Galaxy tablets. We can confirm the availability of last month’s security patch for the Galaxy Tab S9 series, Tab S8 series, S10 FE, Tab S9 FE, and Tab A9 models. This follows an earlier rollout for the Galaxy Tab S10 series and the Tab Active 5 Pro.

More Galaxy Tab models receive Samsung’s February 2026 security update

After a slow start, Samsung recently started aggressively pushing the February 2026 security patch to eligible Galaxy devices worldwide. It has already updated all recent flagship smartphones, while the update has also hit a bunch of budget and mid-range models. However, the movement has been relatively slower on the tablet front. That changes today with the release of last month’s security fixes for a bunch of Galaxy Tab devices.

The Galaxy Tab S9 series, Tab S8 series, S10 FE, Tab S9 FE, and Tab A9 models are now picking up the February 2026 security update in some parts of the world, with a wider rollout expected in the coming days. The firmware build version and OTA file size vary depending on the model and region. None of these devices is getting anything more than last month’s 30+ security fixes.

Samsung may bundle some system optimizations alongside the security patches, but do not expect new features or functional changes. These tablets are eligible for One UI 8.5, so they’ll receive a ton of goodies when the new One UI version rolls out. While we do not have official confirmation, One UI 8.5 is expected to reach all eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets by mid-2026.

If you are using a Galaxy device, you can always check for updates manually from the Settings app. Go to the Software update menu and tap Download and install. If no update shows up, wait a few days and check again. You should always install new security patches when available to stay protected against the latest vulnerabilities.
