One UI 8 brings many noticeable changes across the system. Users will see new clock styles, a redesigned Weather app, a 90:10 split-screen layout, and an updated Quick Share interface. It also improves animations, system stability and offers a cleaner user experience. One UI 8.5 is expected to bring even bigger changes.
The Tab A9+ is also expected to get the One UI 8.5 update. The rollout could happen in the first half of 2026. One UI 8.5 stable will debut with the Galaxy S26 series early next year. A One UI 8.5 beta build for the Galaxy S25 series was already spotted on Samsung’s test servers last week, confirming that development is underway.
If you own a Galaxy Tab A9+, you can check for the One UI 8 update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install, and then tapping Install now. Make sure your device has enough battery and is not overheated before updating.
