Galaxy Tab A11+ Launches in the US Starting at $249

Samsung just announced the Galaxy Tab A11+ alongside the entry-level Galaxy A17 5G in the US. It carries a higher price tag than its predecessor, but that is not much of a premium once you consider the base storage you are getting.

The Galaxy Tab A11+ comes with an 11-inch TFT LCD with support for a 90Hz refresh rate. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass for added protection. Under the hood, it runs on the MediaTek MT8775, paired with 6GB or 8GB of memory and 128GB or 256GB of storage. You can also expand storage via a microSD card up to 2TB, which is great.

It runs Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box and is eligible for six generations of OS upgrades, which is quite generous if you are looking for long-term use. That means you should realistically receive Android 22-based One UI 14, expected sometime around 2030 or 2031.

The tablet packs a 7,040mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. Samsung claims up to 15 hours of video playback. As for cameras, there is an 8MP shooter on the rear, while the front houses a 5MP camera. It also supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3, and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. You also get standalone DeX support, so you do not need an external display to try out the feature.

The Galaxy Tab A11+ will be available for purchase starting January 8, with a starting price of $249.99. Once it goes live on Samsung’s website, you can choose between the Wi-Fi-only variant or the model with 5G support. Color options include Gray and Silver.

One thing I really like about the Galaxy Tab A11+ is that Samsung has dropped the 4GB memory variant altogether. Instead, the base model now starts at 6GB of RAM. Even better, the starting storage has been bumped from 64GB to 128GB, which is why the pricing feels justified, at least in my opinion.
