Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Privacy Display looks incredible!

The post from @KaroulSahil on X gives us a sneak peek at how the Privacy Display works on Galaxy S26 Ultra. As we can see, the phone content is visible only on the main user’s view, looking straight into the screen. Meanwhile, the surrounding area goes black and dimmed from another angle.

The Privacy Display feature on the Galaxy S26 Ultra limits what people around you can see on your screen when you’re in public. Instead of relying on cheap third-party privacy screen protectors, Samsung has built this solution directly into the hardware and software.

Pro Tip: Watch this Samsung page on launch day as the Galaxy S26 Ultra may pop up early for pre-order before Unpacked starts.

You can turn it on anytime, and the phone immediately reduces visibility from side angles. Even better, it also limits the visibility from the top and bottom angles. This makes it the best display ever. And the best part? You can turn it off if you don’t always need it.

This matches what we’ve seen in other leaks, teasers, and our own discoveries. Samsung is serious about this feature, and it’s going beyond a gimmick. Screen privacy isn’t a new idea. We’ve seen physical privacy filters and accessories for years. But Samsung integrating this at the hardware and software level is a big step.

And you can choose if you want it always on, or just when you really need it, like banking apps, lock screen, and other apps. Leaks suggest customization down to notifications and specific apps. We’ll get the full details when Samsung officially unveils everything at Galaxy Unpacked on February 25.

For anyone tired of people reading over their shoulder on trains or in cafes, this feature might end up being more than a buzzword. Thanks to this early hands-on, we’re getting a taste of it before launch.
