We’re just weeks away from the Galaxy S26 series launch, and leaks are coming in fast. Hot off the press, we’ve also seen what appear to be official renders of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and now there’s even better news. A reliable tipster claims the Galaxy S26 Ultra could impress when it comes to video recording capabilities.

Galaxy S26 Ultra may deliver much better video recording capability

According to tipster Ice Universe, Samsung has made a noticeable upgrade to the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 5x periscope telephoto camera, specifically for video recording. In other words, video recording could be significantly better than what we see today on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The tipster doesn’t go into much detail.

On previous Galaxy Ultra phones, its video performance has been somewhat hit or miss. While it was often ahead of many other Android flagships, it still wasn’t entirely consistent. Photos were usually sharp and detailed, but videos could suffer from shakiness, softness, or uneven quality. That’s exactly what the Galaxy S26 Ultra may fix.

Of course, none of this is official yet. Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything about the Galaxy S26 series, so all of this should be taken with a pinch of salt. Still, the leaks so far suggest the company is doubling down on camera improvements this year.

And with February 25 just around the corner, when Samsung will likely announce the Galaxy S26 series at Unpacked, we won’t have to wait much longer.
