Galaxy S26 Ultra Tipped to be Cheaper in Europe
A fresh set of retail prices for the Galaxy S26 series has leaked online, and the picture is mixed. The base Galaxy S26 looks slightly more expensive than last year’s entry model, while the S26 Ultra may actually see a modest cut in some European markets. Galaxy S26 prices leaked again — Ultra could get cheaper in Europe
According to figures posted by @SPYGO19726 on X, the Galaxy S26 series will launch with the following starting prices in Europe, the US, and the UK, respectively:
- Galaxy S26 — €919 / $799 / £999
- Galaxy S26+ — €1,169 / $999 / £999
- Galaxy S26 Ultra — €1,269 / $1,299 / £1,299
As you might have noticed, both the base Galaxy S26 and S26+ are listed with a starting price of £999 in the UK. That obviously can’t be correct. Nonetheless, let us look at the pricing structure for the Galaxy S25 trio at launch:
- Galaxy S25 — €899 / $799 / £799
- Galaxy S25+ — €1,149 / $999 / £999
- Galaxy S25 Ultra — €1,449 / $1,299 / £1,249
Based on these figures, Samsung is maintaining the same starting price for the Galaxy S26 series in the US. The European prices are marginally up for the Galaxy S26 and S26+, but notably down for the Ultra model. A separate leak also showed the S26 Ultra at a lower price than the S25 Ultra in Sweden, reinforcing the €100-ish cut narrative in some European markets. In the UK, meanwhile, the new flagships look set to cost a lot more.
That said, the newly reported figures do not specify whether the base Galaxy S26 carries 128GB of storage or 256GB. Rumors suggest Samsung will drop the 128GB variant this year. In that case, if these prices are for the 256GB variant, we are in for a price cut actually.
Considering all this, we can’t vouch for the authenticity of the reported prices. Leaks have a patchy track record and sometimes reflect placeholder or retailer-estimated pricing rather than official MSRPs. With the official launch expected on February 25, it shouldn’t be long before we start seeing concrete information from more trusted sources. Stay tuned.
