Samsung is developing its successor to the current Galaxy S flagship series, the Galaxy S25. While the Galaxy S26 series won’t arrive until next year, we are already getting a lot of information courtesy of leaks. A fresh leak talks about the storage options for Galaxy S26 Ultra, and we aren’t surprised a bit.
No change in storage options for the Galaxy S26 Ultra
Popular tipster @PandaFlashPro, who is known for sharing Samsung-related insider information ahead of launch, has posted on X about the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s storage options. The tipster says Samsung is testing the next Ultra flagship with the same storage variants as the S25 Ultra. And the options are 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. It’s no surprise; these three storage options have proven enough!
But our primary focus is on a RAM upgrade — yes, the Galaxy S25 Ultra offers 16GB RAM coupled with 1TB storage, but it is only available in Korea, China, and Taiwan. We have no idea why Samsung did not release it in other markets like the US and India; maybe pricing strategies? Who knows? Next year, it will be interesting to see whether Samsung releases the 16GB model of the Galaxy S26 Ultra in all major markets, including the US.
Apart from storage variants, the tipster says, “Current S-Pen Supports Still Exist.” That’s not surprising, though, but will it feature Bluetooth connectivity? Probably not. The tipster further says that the prototype device is being tested with an unknown Qualcomm chipset. The Galaxy S26 Ultra should ship with Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
Of course, these leaks are based on prototype devices, so you should always take the details with a grain of salt. Until it reaches the mass production stage, nothing is final, actually. The same source recently suggested that Samsung plans to make the bezels even thinner for the Galaxy S26 series. A new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is also in the works for flagship smartphones.
