Galaxy S26 Ultra May Finally Get a Battery Boost, According to New Rumor

If the previous leak turns out to be true, we may be just two months or roughly eight weeks away from seeing the Galaxy S26 series come to life. Naturally, most eyes will be on the Galaxy S26 Ultra to see how many of the rumors pan out and whether we will finally get the upgrade we have been waiting for. Amid all this, a new rumor claims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will indeed offer a battery boost.
Galaxy S26 Ultra may offer a 5,200mAh battery boost
China-based tipster Instant Digital on Weibo claims that Samsung will finally break tradition and give the Galaxy S26 Ultra a battery upgrade. This would mean Samsung is moving past the 5,000mAh capacity, with the rumor suggesting the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 5,200mAh battery. It is about time, considering the company has stuck with 5,000mAh since the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Still, it is a bit of a tough pill to swallow.

Even if it is true, it would be a modest boost. If you do the math, it is barely a 4% increase, and still around 200mAh less than what other recent leaks have suggested. One leak, for example, claimed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could pack a 5,400mAh battery. How much these battery bumps will matter in real-world use is something we will have to test.
Beyond that, previous leaks have also pointed to 60W fast charging. Combined with a slightly larger battery, it would make for a somewhat meaningful upgrade, though nothing major or worth celebrating. Still, something is better than nothing. Whatever happens, we should know soon enough, and more leaks will likely surface as launch day approaches.
