Now that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 have had their moment, attention quietly shifts to what’s next in Samsung’s flagship pipeline: the Galaxy S26 Ultra. We’re still months away from any official word, but trusted leaker Ice Universe is already dropping hints about what could be coming.

Trusted leaker summarizes what the Galaxy S26 Ultra could bring to the show

A fan-made Galaxy S26 Ultra render popped up on Reddit, which has so far received a mixed response but left us impressed. I, for one, would really want Samsung to opt for that back design. But that’s not what we’re talking about today. Even before more leaks come in, reliable leaker Ice Universe has basically summarized what upgrades the Galaxy S26 Ultra could pack.

Given Samsung’s recent obsession with making phones slimmer, it doesn’t take a genius to guess what we might see in the upcoming phones. That’s something Ice Universe also mentions—that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be even thinner and lighter. But even with that sleek body, it will seemingly have a “slightly increased” width and height.

Moreover, the leaker weighs in on the display. Accordingly, the Galaxy S26 Ultra might still feature a 6.9-inch display. But Samsung might use CoE (color-on-encapsulation) depolarizer tech and a third-gen anti-reflective glass layer, both of which could make the panel brighter, more efficient, and easier to use under direct sunlight.

Camera-wise, the leaker suggests we might see a new HP2 sensor with an ultra-large aperture, plus a revamped 3x telephoto and a brighter 5x lens. All of this could spell big improvements for low-light and zoom performance. There’s not much known about the cameras yet at the moment.

Same battery capacity, but faster charging

And yes, it will still have the same 5,000mAh battery. But Ice Universe says it could come with 60W fast charging. That would be a somewhat big upgrade over the current 45W charging speed. Under the hood, we might see the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy, which might be announced in two months. There are also rumors that Samsung could equip the Galaxy S26 series with the Exynos 2600, but we’ll have to wait to see more reports.

Recent reports about the Exynos 2600 have shown a beast in the making. But reportedly, the final product is far from finalized. The GPU tests, which came out recently, show that the Exynos 2600 beats the Snapdragon 8 Elite. But one cautionary note is that it’s not being tested on a retail unit. And lastly, since the new foldables have launched with One UI 8, Samsung could be back to the “.5” updates. So, we’ll see the Galaxy S26 series launch running One UI 8.5.
