Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra appears to have reached a key optimization milestone just days before its official debut. Recent Geekbench runs suggest the device has hit performance stability, a strong indication that final software tuning is nearly complete. The company will officially unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup on February 25.

Galaxy S26 Ultra’s performance stabilizes in the latest Geekbench runs

The global version of the Galaxy S26 Ultra recently popped up on Geekbench running Qualcomm’s overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The scores suggest that Samsung has ironed out earlier inconsistencies, as the device repeatedly hit high figures. Single-core scores peaked over 3,760, while multi-core scores topped 11,450.

These results not only improve on earlier figures but also demonstrate consistency, which is often a sign of finalized firmware optimization. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is powered globally by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, an overclocked version of Qualcomm’s latest flagship silicon. Customized specifically for Samsung, the chipset features two prime cores clocked at 4.74GHz and six performance cores at 3.63GHz.

The Galaxy S26 and S26+, meanwhile, are set to launch with a dual-chip strategy. Samsung will use the same Snapdragon processor in the US, Canada, and select other regions. However, most global markets will get the company’s in-house Exynos 2600. Based on early tests, the new Exynos appears to deliver comparable performance to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long for the real-world performance of these chips. The Galaxy S26 series goes official on February 25, with early buyers expected to receive their units in the first week of March. Once we have our hands on the new Samsung flagships, we will put them through the paces and let you know how they perform.

Meanwhile, if you plan to buy a Galaxy S26 in the US, our Mystery Box program is currently open. You will receive a free 65W GaN charger, protective case, cleaning kit, phone stand, and more accessories with every eligible pre-order. Sign up here and stay tuned for further updates.
