Samsung will pull the wraps off the Galaxy S26 series next month, and as usual, the rumor mill never sleeps. Recently, noted tipster Ice Universe said the “real” Galaxy S26 leaks are still to come. Today, the same tipster added that the Galaxy S26 Ultra won’t disappoint.

Samsung may tone down processing on the Galaxy S26 Ultra camera

Ice Universe wrote on X that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera algorithm is tuned for realism. In simpler words, that means the Galaxy S26 Ultra will help you capture scenes as close as possible to how they look in real life. Obviously, this will get mixed reactions, since some people love high brightness and saturation, while others prefer a more realistic look.

Neither side is wrong. People who want social media ready photos may be disappointed. These images could look boring to them without extra post-processing. At the same time, photography purists may welcome the accuracy. Well, I think we know someone who might be excited to try this out.

This new leak lines up with recent talk about Galaxy S26 Ultra camera upgrades, including truer skin tones, less flare, and better lens coatings. Ice Universe also shared details about a new 24MP mode for the Galaxy S26 series, spotted in Good Lock’s Camera Assistant, with processing that works differently from Expert RAW.

Expert RAW is still aimed at advanced users and can introduce artifacts. The new mode might be for everyday shots and target finer detail and more balanced results. Processing runs in the background to avoid shutter lag. But each image may take up to three seconds to reach its final look.

That said, if you’re planning to pick up the Galaxy S26 series at launch, be sure to check out our mystery box program.
