Galaxy S26 to Debut One UI 8.5 with Four New Galaxy AI Features

UPDATE 9/26/25: These 4 features are currently live in China only, so it is possible they may not make their way globally in One UI 8.5 Still, it would be nice to see Samsung bring more of these Chinese exclusives to other regions.
Leaks around One UI 8.5 have so far centered on visual refinements, but design is only half the story. Samsung is also preparing new Galaxy AI tools, aimed at boosting productivity, accessibility, and creativity across Galaxy devices. These tools will debut with the Galaxy S26 series.
One UI 8.5 could debut at least four new Galaxy AI tools
Samsung appears to be testing at least four new Galaxy AI features in One UI 8.5. Meeting Assist, a tool designed for both professional and personal use, provides real-time translations of meeting conversations and even presentation screens, helping users bridge language gaps instantly. With hybrid work and global collaboration becoming the norm, this feature could make Galaxy devices indispensable for business users and frequent travelers.
Another addition is Touch Assistant, which focuses on improving reading efficiency. It processes text shown on the screen and presents it in a way that’s easier to follow. While the specifics aren’t fully detailed yet, this could mean cleaner text formatting, simplified summaries, or even voice-assisted reading. It could be a useful tool for students, researchers, or anyone consuming large volumes of content.
Samsung is also revamping the clipboard experience with the new Smart Clipboard feature. When users copy content, the clipboard will proactively suggest intelligent actions, such as correcting grammar or spelling, summarizing long passages, and translating text instantly. This makes your clipboard a productivity hub instead of just a temporary storage tool.
Last but not least, One UI 8.5 brings Social Composer, which leans heavily into generative AI. Within social media apps, it can generate posts based on images you upload, potentially saving time when you want to share but don’t feel like typing. In shopping apps, it can generate product reviews based on your purchase history, streamlining the feedback process for users and e-commerce platforms alike.
While One UI 8.5 is shaping up to be a more polished and user-friendly version of Samsung’s software, these new Galaxy AI features show that the company is increasingly weaving AI into everyday smartphone interactions. Stay tuned for more updates.
