Galaxy S26 Series Sets New Pre-Order Record, Ultra Leads the Way

Samsung’s latest flagship lineup is already off to a strong start. The newly launched Galaxy S26 series has reportedly broken the company’s pre-order record in South Korea, surpassing the numbers achieved by the S25 lineup. Galaxy S26 Ultra dominates early demand

According to information shared by tipster Ice Universe, Samsung recorded 1.35 million pre-orders for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra in its home market. This figure exceeds the 1.3 million pre-orders achieved by the 2025 flagship lineup. While not a massive jump, it’s still a new record. More importantly, it signals consistent demand for Galaxy phones in Korea.

Unsurprisingly, the most premium model is leading the lineup. The Galaxy S26 Ultra accounts for around 70% of total pre-orders, making it the clear favorite among buyers. While the Ultra has always been the best-selling model, its share in total sales used to hover around 50-60%. Samsung has done well to sell more Ultras this year.

In fact, industry watchers believe that the Galaxy S26 Ultra may already be on track to become the highest-selling Ultra model in Samsung’s history. The device’s popularity is being attributed to a mix of practical upgrades in camera hardware and software. Despite minimal hardware changes, the new Ultra delivers notable improvements in photo and video quality.

Early pre-order data also highlights which color options are attracting the most buyers. White and Black are the more popular choices for Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra buyers. The Galaxy S26+, meanwhile, has sold more in Black and Cobalt Violet colors. If international demand mirrors the momentum seen in South Korea, the new flagship series could become one of Samsung’s most successful launches in recent years.
