Galaxy S26 Launch Nears — And Switching From iPhone Just Got Easier

Samsung launches the Galaxy S26 series on February 25, 2026. And if you’ve been thinking about switching from an iPhone but hesitated because of the data transfer process, there’s good news. Apple has just made moving to Android, including Galaxy devices, easier than ever.
Apple makes it easier to transfer data from iPhones to Samsung Galaxy
Apple’s newly released iOS 26.3 update introduces a built-in tool to transfer your data to Android devices. The new “Transfer to Android” option sits right inside the Settings app, under General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Transfer to Android. You don’t need to download a separate app.
The feature simplifies the migration process and removes several long-standing limitations that previously made switching feel complicated. To get started, you simply bring the two phones close to establish a connection. Now use the iPhone to scan the QR code displayed on your Galaxy and enter the session credentials shown on both devices.
You can then choose what data you want to transfer, including photos, messages, apps, notes, passwords, and your phone number (via Android Authority). Apple still doesn’t let you transfer health data, paired Bluetooth devices, or any other protected items. But nonetheless, this tool solves one of the biggest pain points for anyone considering moving from an iPhone to Android.
For most users upgrading to the Galaxy S26, the essentials are covered. No factory reset. No complicated workarounds. Just a straightforward wireless transfer.
Samsung has already opened pre-reservations for the Galaxy S26 series in multiple markets, and pre-orders are expected to begin immediately after Unpacked on February 25. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to try Galaxy, the combination of a new flagship launch and a simplified migration process makes this one of the easiest transitions yet.
