Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 series in late February, and it became officially available starting March 11. It’s been over a week, and it looks like the first price cut is already here for the base Galaxy S26. Amazon has discounted the Galaxy S26 by 5%, which translates to direct savings of $46.85, along with a $100 voucher.

Galaxy S26 sees early price cut with added $100 Amazon credit

This year, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ got a $100 price hike in the US. The base model now starts at 256GB of storage, which Samsung used to charge extra for on the Galaxy S25. Now, this Amazon deal on the base Galaxy S26 makes things more interesting, cutting the price by 5% while also bundling a $100 Amazon voucher. Do the math, and the effective price comes down to $753, which is pretty solid for a phone that’s just over a week old.

Our reviews of all three models are underway, and we’ve got a lot to share. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is still our favorite, but compact phones are a matter of preference. The Galaxy S26 makes a strong case for itself, especially since it comes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in the US (and the Exynos 2600 in other markets).

It runs One UI 8.5 out of the box and is promised seven generations of Android upgrades along with security updates. The 256GB storage is paired with 12GB of RAM. As for cameras, you get three on the back: a 50MP wide, a 10MP telephoto, and a 12MP ultrawide. It also supports Horizon Lock video. On the front, there’s a 12MP camera.

All of this adds up to a pretty compelling package, especially with the current discount. If you also want two free accessories, you can check out Best Buy or Samsung. At Best Buy, the 256GB variant is priced at $899 and comes with a free $50 e-gift card. On Samsung’s store, it can drop to as low as $399 with maximum trade-in benefits.
