Galaxy S25 Ultra Camera to Be Used for Real-Time Footage at SLS Brazil

Samsung is putting the Galaxy S25 Ultra directly into a live sports broadcast. At an upcoming Street League Skateboarding (SLS) competition in Brazil, the company will mount several Galaxy S25 Ultra phones around the course. They will capture real-time footage during the event.
Samsung is testing the Galaxy S25 Ultra camera with live footage angles at SLS
These phones will serve as extra camera angles for the live broadcast and replays, according to announcement. That will offer viewers perspectives that traditional TV cameras often cannot capture. With the devices placed close to the action, Samsung will effectively be testing how the Galaxy S25 Ultra camera handles fast motion, changing light, and unpredictable movement. And whether it lives to the promise or not.
This is also part of Samsung’s ongoing partnership with Street League Skateboarding. The company plans to continue using this type of camera setup at future SLS events through the 2026 season. That could mean more Galaxy devices being used in live productions, along with added camera-based features for viewers watching at home. In related news, parts of the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit were also filmed using the S25 Ultra.

In a statement, Gustavo Assunção, Samsung Brasil’s SVP and head of MX division, said:
“Visual innovation has been core to how Samsung reimagines user mobile experience. By bringing Galaxy S25 Ultra onto SLS courses, we’re transforming the way people see and engage with skateboarding. Our goal is to create visual experiences that feel as dynamic and expressive as the athletes themselves. We will continue pushing the boundaries for skateboarding fans around the world.”
Brett Clarke, Chief Revenue Officer at SLS parent company Thrill Sports, added:
“Skateboarding has always been a sport where the camera is part of the culture – from filming clips and tricks, to fostering creativity and connection. We are excited to work with Samsung to unlock new ways to see, feel, and experience the sport, and to inspire a deeper connection between fans and its athletes, the creative heartbeat of skateboarding.”
