Galaxy S25 Series January 2026 Security Update Expands to Europe

Samsung usually starts rolling out updates on its home turf and then expands to other regions. In this case, the January 2026 security update first reached the Galaxy S25 series in Korea, then expanded to more regions, and is now finally available in Europe.
Galaxy S25 series now receiving January 2026 security update in Europe
As spotted by SammyGuru’s David Buliga, the Galaxy S25 series is now receiving the January 2026 security patch in Europe. That means you can update your Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, or Galaxy S25 Ultra to the latest security patch. The build version is S93*BXXS7BYLR, and the update size is around 569.04 MB.

The January 2026 security update includes fixes for more than 50 bugs affecting both core Android features and Samsung’s own apps and system services. The issues were found across different parts of the software, so the level of risk varies from one problem to another. Still, even less serious flaws can add up over time. That’s why, if the update is available for your device, it’s best to install it right away.
So if you have a Galaxy S25 series phone and live in Europe, the update should be waiting for you. You can head to Settings > Software update > Download and install, then tap Install now. Once the update is installed, your phone will restart after a short while, running the latest available security patch.
