Galaxy S25 Series Crosses 2 Million Sales, Breaking S24’s Record

There’s no doubt that Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra is one of the best Android smartphones you can buy right now. In fact, its siblings, the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, and the newly launched Galaxy S25 Edge, are also excellent options. Unsurprisingly, the devices have been in high demand since their launch. The Korean firm recently revealed that the Galaxy S25 series surpassed two million sales in its home country in record time.

Galaxy S25 series hits 2 million sales in Korea faster than any other Galaxy

Samsung launched its Galaxy S25 series in January this year, though it hit retail stores in early February. Since then, the company has seen strong flagship sales worldwide, helping it maintain the top spot in the global smartphone market in Q1 2025. Its MX and Networks businesses also reported growth, with an operating profit of KRW 4.3 trillion in the first quarter.

In South Korea, the combined sales of the there flagship models — excluding the newly launched S25 Edge — recently hit two million units. Samsung achieved this milestone about four months after launch, and over two weeks faster than last year’s Galaxy S24 series. This marks the shortest period any Galaxy 5G smartphone lineup has taken to reach that goal.

Interestingly, the Galaxy S25 series reached one million sales in Korea just a week quicker than the S24. So the latest milestone signals growing momentum for the 2025 flagship offerings. “The sales of 2 million units in Korea are the result of customers’ high evaluation of the completeness and innovation of the Galaxy S25 series. We will continue to expand our benefits to customers, including subscriptions to New Galaxy AI,” a Samsung executive said.

Samsung says that it saw strong sales of the Galaxy S25 series because of the top performance, improved camera, and introduction of the latest Galaxy AI feature. On top of that, “New Galaxy AI Subscription Club” also helped make the Galaxy S25 series successful.
