Samsung started rolling out the first One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 trio in early December. Since then, there have been as many as eight rounds of beta updates for the Galaxy S25 series. In addition, Samsung has expanded the One UI 8.5 beta program to more Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Tab S11 series.

All well and good, but when is the One UI 8.5 beta actually ending? Until the beta program itself shuts down, the stable update still feels like a distant dream. And is the One UI 8.5 stable update getting delayed? There are a couple of things to know, and they come from two well-known tipsters.

Galaxy S25 series’ One UI 8.5 beta may stretch to 10 rounds

According to both @ya_sking12767 and Tarun Vats, there could be two more rounds of the One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 trio. These may arrive in the weeks of April 9 and April 20. That would bring the total to ten beta rounds, and since Samsung typically wraps things up after the tenth beta, it suggests the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 trio could run for a little over four months, or roughly sixteen weeks.

Similarly, there could be two more One UI 8.5 beta rounds for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 series. That’s not surprising, since they only recently became eligible for the beta program. Still, it’s wild how much the One UI 8.5 stable update might be delayed, especially with everything moving at a snail’s pace. Of course, even when the information comes from reliable sources, things can still change at the last moment — for better or worse.
