At Galaxy Unpacked in January, Samsung briefly teased the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge. It was previously rumored to be called the “Slim,” but it seems Samsung is sticking with the previous branding. And now, we’ve got our first leak of the Galaxy S25 Edge specs, which promise some solid upgrades. But it falls short in a few areas, such as charging speeds. The Galaxy S25 Edge is still months away from its official debut, so take this info with a pinch of salt for now.
The first set of Galaxy S25 Edge “confirmed” specs are out finally
According to tipster PandaFlashPro, some Galaxy S25 Edge “confirmed” specs may be out of the bag. Based on that, the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge could have a dual-camera setup on the back, with one being a 200MP sensor. On the front, we might see a 12MP camera.
In another leak from OnLeaks (via SmartPrix), the Galaxy S25 Edge could be as thin as 5.84mm. It’s definitely slimmer than the previously rumored 6.4mm thickness. If true, this could give Apple’s iPhone 17 Air some serious competition. The same publication that originally reported the 6.4mm thickness now suggests that Samsung has ditched the triple-camera setup to make the S25 Edge even thinner. Given OnLeaks’ reliability (aka Steve H. McFly), this seems pretty plausible.
As for what PandaFlashPro says, the Galaxy S25 Edge will have the same 12GB of RAM as the regular Galaxy S25 lineup. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some 16GB RAM variants exclusive to certain regions. That’s something Samsung tends to do often. On the display front, the S25 Edge is expected to feature an LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
It’s also rumored to include UFS 4.0, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and USB-C 3.2. The biggest disappointment from the full leak, however, is the 25W charging speed, the same as the base Galaxy S25. That’s a bit of a letdown, especially when even the upcoming Galaxy A56 will support 45W wired charging.
