Galaxy S25 Edge Specs: A Complete Overview of Samsung’s Slim Flagship

by | May 13, 2025 | Galaxy S, News

The fourth member of 2025’s Galaxy S flagship is finally here. As you might have guessed, it’s the Galaxy S25 Edge, Samsung’s slimmest flagship smartphone ever, which the Korean firm teased earlier this year during the Unpacked event. In this article, we have rounded up everything you need to know about its specifications.

Galaxy S25 Edge specifications and features

Samsung has made the Galaxy S25 Edge with a focus on slim design and top-tier performance. The phone measures 158.2 x 75.6 x 5.8 mm and weighs just 163 grams, making it ultra slim and lightweight. It has a premium build with a newly introduced Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back. To give users a more premium feel, it features a titanium alloy middle frame. The phone supports eSIM and has an IP68 rating, meaning it’s dustproof and water-resistant.

As for display, the Galaxy S25 Edge features a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels, and HDR10+ support. It offers peak brightness of 2,600 nits and has ProScaler technology, which improves the visual quality of content. However, it misses out on anti-reflective properties found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s Corning Gorilla Armor 2.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Edge packs Qualcomm’s customized flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. This is the same chipset that powers other members of the Galaxy S25 family, making the S25 Edge a perfect choice for power users. While there is no memory card slot, you get a lot of built-in storage: either 256GB or 512GB, both with 12GB of RAM.

Seven years of OS and security updates

Software-wise, the phone runs on One UI 7 on top of Android 15 OS. The device includes a host of new Galaxy AI features that make it smarter and easier to use. It will offer seven years of OS and security updates, going all the way up to Android 22.

Speaking of cameras, the Galaxy S25 Edge has a dual camera setup consisting of a 200MP main lens and a 12MP ultrawide lens. Unlike the other three members of the S25 family, it lacks a telephoto camera to achieve a slimmer design. The good thing is that it uses the Ultra model’s 200MP sensor that offers a 2x optical quality zoom and up to 10x AI zoom. For selfies, we get a 12MP camera unit on the front that can record up to 4K video.

Now, coming to the battery department, the phone has a 3,900 mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging. While the lower battery capacity is understandable given the phone’s slim profile, Samsung should have at least offered 45W charging like its Ultra model. It uses a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

In the sound segment, the Galaxy S25 Edge has stereo speakers for loud and clear sound, but no headphone jack. For wireless connection, it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. It also has GPS and other global positioning systems such as GLONASS, GALILEO, and BDS. On top of that, it offers different sensors, such as an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass.
