The One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy S24 series has been spotted on Samsung’s servers, according to tipster Tarun Vats. The build version is S928BXXU4DYL5, which corresponds to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This suggests the update is currently in internal testing.

A recent tip from two reliable sources suggested that the One UI 8.5 beta program will begin on December 8. The first round of the beta program may be limited to users in the US, UK, Korea, and Germany. Other regions are expected to receive the One UI 8.5 beta starting December 22, which also marks the second round of the beta release.

Whether the Galaxy S24 series will be included among the eligible devices for One UI 8.5 remains to be seen. Either way, Samsung will prioritize delivering the beta experience to the Galaxy S25 series and most likely the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 users, as these are its current flagship devices.
