Galaxy S21 FE (Snapdragon) Picking Up One UI 8 Update Globally

It’s been quite a long time since Samsung started the One UI 8 rollout. So far, a bunch of Galaxy devices have already been updated across regions. Some are still waiting, however, which we’ve noted in a separate article. Now, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (Snapdragon) is receiving the One UI 8 update across regions, including Europe and India.
One UI 8 update rolling out to Galaxy S21 FE (Snapdragon) in Europe and India
As spotted by Mohammed Khatri, Samsung has started rolling out the Android 16-based One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S21 FE (Snapdragon) in Europe and India. The new firmware build ends with IYJ1 and is about 2.3GB in size. It still includes the September 2025 security patch. Even though many devices have already begun receiving the October 2025 security update.

You can expect the newer security patch to arrive on your Galaxy S21 FE soon. Notably, the Galaxy S21 FE (Exynos) variant began receiving the One UI 8 update last week in similar regions. If you have not installed it yet, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the download is complete, tap Install now and your device will reboot to apply the latest software.
The One UI 8 update introduces many new features that are worth exploring once your device is updated. We’ve highlighted some of the first things you should try, along with what we consider the most interesting additions. That said, Samsung is already working on One UI 8.5, which will be the next major update and mark the return of the “.5” releases. Fortunately, the Galaxy S21 FE will be eligible for the One UI 8.5 update, though it may take some time to arrive.
